How Should an Oversized Hoodie Fit? A Size Guide for Pakistan

Buying a hoodie online is easy until it arrives too tight across the shoulders or so long it looks like a dress. Oversized hoodies make this trickier, because they are meant to look a bit big. Here is how to get the fit right.

What "oversized" actually means

An oversized hoodie is cut wider and a little longer than a regular hoodie. The signs of a good oversized fit:

Shoulders: the seam drops slightly below your natural shoulder.
Chest: loose, with room to layer a t-shirt underneath without pulling.
Length: the hem sits around your hip, not halfway down your thigh.
Sleeves: they reach your wrist and bunch a little, held in place by the cuff.

If the shoulder seam is near your elbow, or the hem covers your hands when your arms are down, it is too big.

How to measure yourself

The most reliable method is to measure a hoodie you already own and like:

Lay it flat on a bed or table and smooth it out.
Chest: measure straight across, 2-3 cm below the armpits.
Length: measure from the highest point of the shoulder, next to the collar, down to the hem.
Compare both numbers with our hoodie size chart and choose the closest size.

No hoodie to measure? Measure around the fullest part of your chest with a tape and leave room for the relaxed cut.

Should you size up?

Zello hoodies already have a relaxed, oversized cut. So:

Take your usual size for a relaxed fit that still looks put together.
Go one size up if you want a properly baggy, streetwear look.
Between two sizes? Pick the bigger one for an oversized look, the smaller one if you will layer it under a jacket.

Does the fabric shrink?

Our hoodies are a 240 gsm fleece of 40% cotton and 60% polyester. The polyester makes the blend far more stable than pure cotton. To keep the fit and the print, wash cold, inside out, and avoid hot tumble drying.
